$10.50
Formerly Cimicifuga racemosa; Shade to part sun (full sun at high elevations 2,000 feet or more); Rich, organic, woodsy soils; Ferny foliage much like other actaea species but developing a much thicker crown over time. In June-July a tall 3-5' stem topped with a candelabra of white spiky (slightly malodorous) flower clusters. Makes a nice tall accent for a woodland garden. In places this plant has become rare due to poaching for the medicinal herb market; Zone 3-8; Unknown ecotypes.
