Pearly everlasting is a dainty little aster family member found growing in cool northern climates like high mountain meadows in the Appalachians and throughout much of New-England and the Upper Midwest. It grows between 1-2 feet tall and has attractive grey-green foliage. White flowers with a yellow center appear July-October and are long lasting. It is a perennial unlike some of it’s close cousins (the cud-weeds). Preference is for full sun and average to dry, poor, acidic soils. Zone 3-8. Commercial ecotype.
