Bottlebrush grass is a 3-4 foot tall, shade loving grass of dry woodland edges, riverbanks and shady hillsides. Grass is wispy and not too overwhelming though it usually forms large patches. Attractive seed head forms midsummer from July-September. Zone 5-9. WV ecotype.
