Halberd-leaved rosemallow is a large tropical-looking perennial of swamps and wet ditches resembling the swamp rosemallow but with a few differences. The leaves are elongated and lobed to resemble a spearhead or halberd. The plant is often taller than wide. The flowers are slightly more tubular. Grows 6 or 7 feet tall. Easily adaptable to ordinary garden soil in full sun. Flowering occurs from July to September. Zone 4-9. VA ecotype.
