Full sun; average well-drained soil; white flowered form (instead of the typical purple); flowers 1” across, resembling a petunia but not actually related; blooms over a long period of time and makes an interesting addition to flower beds and rock gardens; blooms June-Aug; plants 1’-2’ tall; zones 5-8. Peter Heus of Enchanters Garden discovered and named this cultivar for the famous Fairbanks ‘Whyte Laydie’ plectrum banjos from the 19th century.
