This very rare wildflower from the pine-woods of the south east is actually very easy to grow. Preference is for full to part sun, and moist to average soils. Very similar in many ways to the common perennial black eyed Susan except it is larger (2-4 feet tall) with smooth leaves and big flowers that supposedly face the sun and bloom Aug-Sept. Zone 5-9. Unknown ecotype. // Seed packet, about 50 seeds. Germination requirements: 60 days cold, moist stratification.
