The Plymouth Rose Gentian is one of the few perennial Sabatia species. It is exceptionally rare, growing is coastal marshes from Cape Cod to South Carolina. Grows 1-3 feet tall. Preference is for full sun and wet peaty soils. Plants are rhizomatous and can form small patches under the right circumstances. Large multi-petaled, pink flowers appear from June to August. Zone 6-9. NC ecotype. // About 100 seeds per packet. Germination requirements: 60 days cold-wet stratification.
