Blue Sage occurs in Midwestern prairies and in some south-eastern barrens habitats. It grows 3-5 feet tall and tends to be more upright than bushy. Pale Blue flowers appear July to October. Preference is for full sun and average to dry soils. Often found growing in very gravelly soil. Zone 5-9 / unknown ecotype
