$10.50
This Kidney-leaf rosinweed variation is a occurs primarily on shale barrens along the WV-VA border. The plant has large rounded basal leaves with no undulations or dissections (unlike the more common var. compositum). Very tall and leafless flower stalks appear in July-August and reach a height of 6-10 feet. Small bright yellow flowers are produced in abundance. The plant has a deep taproot and must have a well-drained soil to grow in. Very unusual and attractive. Zone 6-7. VA ecotype.
