Sticky Rosinweed is a very rare endemic to the dolomite glades of Bibb County, Alabama. Preference is for full sun and well-drained gravely soil. Grows 4-6 feet tall with broad leaves and soft yellow sunflowers from July-August. The entire plant is covered with sticky glandular hairs which may deter insects or may be a way to prevent water loss. Very rare and unique. Zone 6-8. AL ecotype.
