The large Yellow False-Indigo is a big bold yellow statement. Large lupine-like blooms appear from May to June on bushy 3-4' tall plants. Very drought tolerant this perennial develops a deep taproot and is not easily moved once planted. Prefers average to dry soils in hot sun or part shade. Its natural range is the south-central US from East Texas north to Arkansas but is quite hardy in the North-East. Zone 5-8. Ecotype unknown.
