Hairy Alumroot is very variable. This popular form has large and very hairy leaves and big, showy, white flower clusters that bloom later than the common form. Preference is for part to full shade though sun is sometimes tolerated in cooler climates. Average to dry gritty soil is desired. Grows 10-12 inches tall. White flowers appear August-September. Zone 3-8.
