Tall beardtongue is a great grow-anywhere perennial. Sun to part sun and an average to slightly dry loamy soil is preferred. Semi-evergreen basal foliage gives rise to a 3-4' tall spike of white to slightly pink flowers in May to June. Bees of various kinds love the plant (especially bumble bees). Foliage takes on a reddish-pink color in the autumn. Zone 3-8. PA and Commercial ecotypes as available.
