Sun drops is a cheerful bright yellow perennial that loves lightly shaded woodlands, edges and meadows. Soils are typically dry and well-drained. Plants tend to form large patches but mix well with others. Yellow flowers appear in June-July on 1-2 foot tall stems. Leaves often take on a red hue in the fall. Zone 3-8.
