Formerly Aster laevis. Smooth blue aster is an easy to grow almost anywhere perennial. It prefers full sun and dry soils but can tolerate some shade and moisture. The plant has smooth unserrated leaves on upright stalks to 2-4' tall. Sky-blue flowers appear from August to September. Zone 3-8. WV. ecotype. // Seed packet, about 50 seeds.
