Agalinis tenuifolia (Slender False Foxglove) Seeds
Slender false foxglove is a wispy annual of moist meadows and woodlands. Very similar in appearance to purple false foxglove but flowers are on long stalks and are less tubular. The plant is also hemi-parasitic meaning that while it does parasitize the roots of other plants, it also produces energy through photosynthesis. The plant is one to two feet tall and slender with thin leaves and few stems. Dark purple flowers appear from August to October. Preference is for wet, acidic, peaty or sandy soil and full to part sun. Because it is an annual it will only persist through reseeding. Zone 2-11. TN ecotype.// Seed packet, about 100 seeds.
