Sun to Shade; Average to dry soil; Virginia anemone is a variable flower with some populations having small greenish flowers and others with large white flowers. We sell the form with larger white flowers. The plant is fairly well behaved and clump-forming. It grows 1-2 feet tall and holds its leaves in tiers making it a structurally interesting accent. The white summer blooming flowers turn into a fluffy cottony seed head which persist into winter and are often used as nesting material.
