Usually found in sandy wetlands in the coastal plain and piedmont. Because of its larger leaves it may be better at attracting monarch butterflies than the typical species. Blooms July-Aug; Grows between 2-3' tall; PA Ecotype. // Seed packet, about 30 seeds. Germination requirements: 60 days cold, moist stratification.
