Goosefoot is a widespread annual closely related to common lambs quarters but is native throughout much of North America. Unlike Lambs quarters, goosefoot is smooth and without that white powder and is excellent as a raw green. In fact it was a major food stable (Both the seeds and the Leaves) of Native Peoples. This native annual is a superior edible and should be tried out in any garden. Full Sun. Grows 2-4 feet tall (or taller). Rich, dry to average soil. Yellow-white flowers midsummer. Unknown ecotype. about 100 seeds per packet. No special germination requirements.
