$3.00
The Tennessee coneflower was once a federally endangered plant which was recently removed from the list both as the original populations have recovered but also through the mass distribution of the plant into the horticulture trade. The plant is very drought tolerant and easy to cultivate in the worst soils and hottest driest places. Grows 1-2 foot tall. Blooms June-August with pale pink flowers whose petals are held stiffly horizontal or even slightly inclined. Best in rather dry infertile soil and full to partial sun. Zone 5-6. Tenn ecotype. 50 seeds min. per packet. Germination requirements: 60 days cold, moist stratification.
