This bonset can be found growing in dry sandy soils throughout the coastal plain. It's preference is for full sun and dry to medium well-drained soil. Grows 2-3 feet tall with clouds of white pollinator attracting flowers mid to late summer from August to September. Leaves are thin and have an interesting fruity taste.
