Part sun to light shade; Wet to average sandy soil; Swamp saxifrage is a bold foliage plant for swampy soils containing some sand or seepy sandstone bluffs. Adapts fairly well to moist garden soils with light shade. Large lettuce-like leaves emerge in the spring followed shortly by a tall stalk of green-white flowers loved by small bees and other beneficial insects. Grows 2-3' tall; Blooms May-June; Zone 3-6; WV ecotype
