A slender skullcap that inhabits moist to wet meadows and seepy hillsides though can also be found in drier woodlands and meadows. The plants are 1-2' tall and have clusters of blue flowers from June to August. The plants are well-behaved and narrowly upright which makes them easy to fit into a diverse garden. Looks great with Coreopsis, Krigia, and Silene. Zone 4-8. WV. ecotype.
