Part sun to shade; well drained gravelly soil or shaley soil; this species forms a mat of low spreading compact rosettes of gray-green fleshy little leaves somewhat like pinwheels; blooms are white stars appearing May-June; plant 1”-4” tall; zones 5-8; VA. ecotype.
