Sun; Average to dry soil; This tall warm-season grass produces flower stalks in mid-summer up to 5-6' tall. The flower heads have a yellow-red color to them that remind me of cream soda or root beer. The coarse foliage is blue-green in summer, turning yellow-orange in fall. Nice tall accent in a garden or else a perennial hedge. Zone 4-9; VA and Commercial ecotypes as available
