Rands goldenrod is a small species that grows on mountain balds and cool granite outcrops throughout New England and the higher peaks of the Southern Appalachians. Clump forming and late blooming. Flowers from August to October. Grows 1-2 feet tall. Try it in rock-gardens, green-roofs, and other cool, exposed sites. Zone 3-6. VA ecotype.
