Formerly Sedum telephioides this plant bears a strong similarity to cultivated stonecrops but don’t be fooled. This wild stonecrop have a liking for dry outcrops and cliffs especially in the southern Appalachian mountains. Plants have fleshy blue-grey leaves sometimes with pinkish margins. They grow in distinct clumps, often on vertical, mossy surfaces. They are usually 8-14 inches tall and have white to pinkish-white flowers from July to September. Zone 5-7; WV ecotype.
