Blanket Flower is a short-lived perennial or annual Native to the South West and lower Mid West of the US and Mexico. It has naturalized into much of the coastal South East. Our plants and seeds come from the dunes of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Blanket flower is extremely drought tolerant and prefers a dry, well-drained soil and full sun. Flowers are largely bicolor red and yellow and bloom nearly year around in warm climates and tend to die back or die completely in colder climates where they should be considered annuals. Grow 1-3 feet tall. Zone 6-10. NC ecotype // Seed Packet contains about 50 seeds. No cold dormancy required for germination.
